Global Health Advocates is a French NGO whose mission is to carry out political advocacy in France and with the EU institutions to ensure policies and resources are effectively addressing health inequalities.
GHA is also a founding member of the Digital Health and Rights Alliance and has been contributing to the work of the alliance since its creation, strengthening collaboration across digital rights and health equity organisations and creating joint advocacy efforts, including on patients’ data privacy and AI regulation.
With this grant, Global Health Advocates focused on providing targeted policy recommendations to French decision-makers on regulating AI technologies used in the healthcare sector. Its first analysis report on the challenges of regulating AI in healthcare in France, titled “Soignons nos algos”, accompanied by a campaign urging to adopt a public label for AI systems used in healthcare.
