Annual report 2025

In 2025, the European AI & Society Fund nurtured and sustained the work of our grantees who are working to shape AI in the public interest.

With our 17 funding partners, we supported 60 organisations and 14 fellows across 27 countries to shift the direction of AI – from strategic litigation cases to practical toolkits for policymakers, from exposing Big Tech’s grip on the AI market to calling out harms against marginalised communities.

We grew our diverse community‘s collective power in the face of turbulent geopolitics, offering flexible and rapid response funding to enable collaboration. More than half our cohort are social and environmental justice organisations, reflecting the pressing need for those most affected by AI to shape its future.

And we supported funders to keep abreast of AI developments, weaving connections across different perspectives.

Read our annual report 2025 to find out more about our grantees’ impact, and how we supported them and philanthropy to shape AI that serves people, society and planet.
